Australia-India BRIDGE participants enjoyed High Tea at the Australian High Commission a few days ago in New Delhi. The School of Total Education is participating in the Asia Education Foundation initiative which is linking eight schools in Australia with eight partner schools in Delhi.
SOTE teacher, Bernadine Bradshaw, attended the high tea with her partner teacher from Venkateshwar International School, Mrs Madhumita Sengupta. Australian High Commissioner, Mr Patrick Suckling, gave an address highlighting the converging interests of Australia and India in many fields including education, agriculture and energy.

Dr Amanda Day, counsellor (education) at the Australian High Commission in New Delhi congratulated principals and teachers on their participation in the BRIDGE program and spoke of the mutual benefits of this and other collaborative education programs. She said that collaborative opportunities will increase as Australia’s relationship with India strengthens and as intercultural understanding develops in both countries.
