Year 8 Outdoor Education

On Wednesday the Year 8 class, accompanied by Mr Licence, Mr Weier and Marlena from Germany had a barbecue lunch at the Outdoor Education Centre. While the sausages were cooking they learnt about fire safety and the finer points of lighting a fire. The students showed a good understanding of the skills needed to light a fire and after establishing their fire; they built a tripod from branches and boiled a billy.

After lunch they went for a swim in a waterhole in Freestone Creek. The students enjoyed both activities, especially the swimming.
