Year 10 Jumpers & Jazz Winter Dinner

Wednesday, August 29, 2018

The Year 10 students eagerly volunteered to serve 100 guests at the Jumpers and Jazz Winter Dinner in the Town Hall on July 20th, marking the opening of the Jumpers and Jazz Festival.
During the week Maitre D Jenny Lane provided some intensive and worthwhile training on table service etiquette. The group visited the venue in advance in order to meet the chefs and plan for the big event.
On the night, students were kept very busy serving delicious and beautifully presented canapés, starters, mains, and desserts to the hungry crowd. It was a great experience for the group to partake in, and some are very keen to do it again next year.
Organisers of the event were very impressed with the students; they approached the job with enthusiasm and were totally professional.
Thanks also goes to Piers Dudin for organising this opportunity for the class, Jo Collins and Sarah Dudin who also helped out on the night.
