The Year 8 & 9 students at The School of Total Education really enjoyed sport last week despite the heat wave. Teachers Piers Dudin and Brett Weier took the students to the Vijayadev Yogendra Auditorium where they took advantage of the air- conditioning to play many games of volleyball in a less demanding temperature.

Piers Dudin is the new Senior Physics & Maths Teacher at the School. Born and raised in the United Kingdom where he studied Science, Mathematics and Teaching at the University of Warwick, Piers taught at Kings School in Rochester before embarking on a career in sailing which included skippering yachts in around the world racing and the Sydney to Hobart. He has recently retired as a Yacht instructor to return to teaching.

“We are really pleased to have Piers in the school”, said Principal, Shane Power. “He has only just relocated to Warwick from the Sunshine Coast with his wife and young family and is already having a positive impact in the school”. Welcome Piers!
