Roy Fox Memorial Science Lab

Tuesday, June 07, 2016

As reported our application for funding for this important project is being considered by the government funding body. This development will greatly enhance the science facilities for the children, creating a second teaching laboratory, expanding the preparation and storage area and upgrading the existing laboratory to a state of the art standard. It includes a relocation and complete rebuild of the art and art store rooms providing greater functionality and vastly improved facilities for the students. The science laboratory will be named after the late Roy Fox, a former teacher who was passionate about science and who was legendary for his humility and great love and care for the students.

The total cost is anticipated to be in the vicinity of $620,000, based on the architects costings. We are hoping to raise $200,000 of this from parents, friends and past parents and students. Contributions to the school's building fund are tax deductible and with the 30th June fast approaching we have prepared a pledge form for parents who may wish to contribute. Click here to access the pledge form. Please contact Shane Power or Jody Aspinall at the school for more details. A formal fundraising campaign will be commenced in due course.
