Grade 2/3 Outdoor Education

Wednesday, September 04, 2019

In early June the Grade 2/3 class went out to the Outdoor Education Centre at Upper Freestone with Ms Lightfoot and Mr Licence. The visit started with the challenge of walking across a pine log and all of the children successfully negotiated this task. Next the children explored the nearby grassy paddock and an overgrown orchard for signs of wild life and investigating the plants and the beautiful autumn leaves. The children loved exploring the orchard and climbing up the old trees.
To finish off the walk the children climbed over the fence to spend some time exploring the creek bed and the lower part of the cliff. This was the highlight of the outing for the children and they reluctantly returned to the bus and returned to school.
