Aikido at school

The upper primary students in Grades 4, 5 and 6 have been learning Aikido with Chris Hulme. Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art which teaches self-defence while also protecting their attacker from injury.

Aikido is a modern Japanese martial art developed by Morihei Ueshiba. Ueshiba's goal was to create an art that practitioners could use to defend themselves while also protecting their attacker from injury. The school has specifically chosen Aikido for its non-violent, peaceful approach. Mr Hulme and his grandson Cory delighted the Grade 6 class with their knowledge, skills and practical application.
